PLASTICS - The Plastic Island

Between California and Hawai there´re and island much larger than Spain, is called "Plastic soup" because there are a lot of waste made of plastics, increasingly. They become little particles, the fishes eat theirs and contaminates the beaches. Charles Moore discovered this stain in 1997 and he started to study it. There´re 100 millions tons of plastics circulating in the North Pacific, we only can see this stain by boat. It´s a problem because the birds can die intoxicated, the fishes that we eat have eaten this toxic compounds that are in this plastics sea that the humans have built and the government don´t help (is very expensive and is necessary technology, boats and a specializes crew)

PLASTICS - The relationship between the plastic and Halloween

Every year a popular feast is celebrated on October 31,  called Halloween.

Children dress up in scary costumes like zombies, werewolves, mummies, vampires etc.

In this event the plastics are very important, since the candy given this day are wrapped by plastic, containers which are carried candies are also made ​​with plastic and many ornaments are plastic suits like dracula fangs .

This shows that the plastics are very important because they are used just about everywhere.

You know that if you want to be scary this halloween, you should use this common material  that is  the plastic.

I think that technology is a very interesting subject because it helps us understand and teaches us to know things around us and formation of many materials.

Whereas today, an average person is able to absorb the information stored in 600 000 books.

PLASTICS - Scientists break down plastics with bacteria

Through an accidental discovery, two high-school seniors from Vancouver may have found a revolutionary answer to the problem of plastic pollution. Miranda Wang and Jeanny Yao discovered a certain strain of bacteria has the ability to quickly biodegrade phthalates -- a major cause of water pollution from plastic. The duo presented their research findings at TED Active in Long Beach, using a Prezi-powered presentation.

I don't understand why we recycled and then you throw the litter in the same container.I live in a small city and if I want recycled ,I will walk a lot and they are not functional.But we must recycled for the wordl for the new generations...please recycled. 1·You separated the litter in plastics,paper,glass,and other thinks 2·You throw away in different bags 3·You go to the containers Plastics->yellow Paper->blue Glass->green Red->clothes(you help a lot of people)

Every day we don´t know for that it is used for the technology.Last week we celebrated the day international against mamamry's cancer,and,thanks technology every year treatment a lot of people.Last week I can't write but I see important this point.RESPECT for those women who wear pink with a smile every day.Thanks,you are the best.

The plastic is a material that is in all objects and in some types of clothing, before the plastic was very expensive and now though is everywhere. I think it is an essential material because otherwise most things would be different.

The plastics are the most common material in the life  of the people. But this is good or bad ?

 The man produces 300 million tons of plastic per year, and a part of this plastics  pollute  the sea .

 This produces terrible effects on earth and in the animals  of the ecosistem where they live .

The plastics are good if we know recycle them but  the most of the people don´t recycle the plastics, and this is terrible.
